RP'er finding it difficult to find his niche in STAP

Savage Tide Adventure Path

If any of you have read my posts in the campaign journal (From Sasserine to the Abyss: The Savage Tide) about Vastiago Calibre, Id, you know I like to roleplay. The problem with Id, aside from his death, was that I had my own story going within the STAP. I have been finding it difficult to get in the high sea's adventure that is the staple of STAP.

Part of the problem could be that I am not there every single week, but I was hoping people could offer me advice on how to better submerse myself in to the story.

Savaun, you could ask the DM or one of the other players to write a diary from your character's point of view when you are absent. Does that help?

A full out Diary might be asking to much but maybe just a basic email might work?
