I'm running the PCs through the vault Sunday and I want to hand out pictures of the creatures they see carved in the 7 walls. The first four have nice color pictures in either the 3.5 MM or the 2nd ed. Monstrous Manual, but there are 3 others I am searching for.
First, there is a picture of a Spectator in the 2nd ed. book, but I would have to do a lot of cutting aroung the edges, etc. Also, I could not find a Spectator in any of the four 3.5 MMs of the newest Fiend Folio.
Second, the MM picture of the Gray Render is a profile and I want them to see all 6 eyes.
Third, there's no D&D picture of a monstrous spider, although I guess I could google spider.
So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to find these in color, most importantly the Gray Render.

You want the Lords of Madness.
That book's not only got a picture of a spectator beholderkin, but also a non-profile of a gray render. It's a half-farspawn gray render, but it's got the right amount of eyes.
And everyone knows what a spider looks like. But if they don't, yeah. The internets is the best bet.

Just my luck...no Lords of Madness, but one of my players has it and I'll have him bring it.
The spider would be for completeness and I want to "merge" two of the eyed into one so they won't miss the 7 eyes clue.
Thanks James!

WotC has all the pictures for their books (including Lords of Madness) on their website in their art galleys, by the by... no need to own any books! :-)
Ah! Very helpful information. I am printing them out now!
