I just got issue 144 and read James Jacobs' response to the question about Cegilune and other obscure D&D gods. James, come on, this is the internet. You KNOW somebody's already compiled a list.

And here it is: http://www.geocities.com/filbypott/gods.html, separated into 4 files, for D&D gods, Real-World gods, Non-Human gods, and Real-Worlds gods worshiped by Non-Humans.

Over on Planewalker.com we have 'The Gods List', which a searchable, continually updated comprehensive* list of every deity in D&D. And the entries in the list have the sources listed so you can look at the original material. Alzrius spent a massive amount of time on this little bugger and it's one of the few items of reference that I've got perched on my desktop.

*excluding deities for whom only a name and no context or other details are given. A name drop doesn't earn a spot on the list, but otherwise the list is full, and added to each time something new gets published.

Edit: whoops. Well now I know the board censors us. Hehe :)

It's a shame this list doesn't extend to official licensed properties, like Dragonlance. WotC approves all of our material and it also jives with the novels published by the book department, so it's considered to be the official word on DL (and not just some third party thing.)

Cheers,

Cam,

When Alzrius set up the standards that he used for inclusion of sources or not, he excluded all 3rd party d20 sources, licensed property or not. So there aren't d20 Ravenloft sources by S&SS referenced, nor d20 DL sources from Sovereign Press either (though Dragonlance material is certainty there, just TSR/WotC though).

If you talked to him and explained your position regarding the licensing etc, Alzrius might be willing to include 3e DL books in the list, but it would be his call since he created and maintains it. So feel free to contact him and discuss it.

Todd
