This is directed towards anyone at Paizo that worked on the SCAP Adventure Path...
The idea of time travel might come up in my campaign, and I'd like to know more about Surabar Spellmason.
How powerful was he? What would be his alignment, levels, and his most sacred possessions, besides Alakast? Who were his friends and allies? How long did he live? What brought about his transformation into a mountain, or that just a myth?
What if he died, in the past, before he could found Redgorge? Would someone else have stepped in to do it or would it cause a paradox? What are the Basalt Bastions?
I'd like to know just in case the PCs find a way to travel back in time and meet with him, and/or face Nabthatoron in the past.
And just how long ago did he live? It says in the Demonskar Legacy that Redgorge was founded about 800 years ago. How accurate is that number? How old was he when he founded Redgorge?
Yes, I could simply make it up myself, but I'd like to hear the official line. Plus, others should feel free to post ideas they came up with for fleshing Surabar as a full historical figure.
Cheers!

The entire "official line" about Surabar is in the hardcover. There's nothing more about him, and frankly, he was in such a distant past, I've really not put much thought into who he was or what he was beyond what's in the hardcover. Which basically means that he's open season for anyone who wants to develop him further.
The timeline in the hardcover is as accurate as it gets for Shackled City dates; the magazine versions of the adventures are probably a bit more hazy about things in the distant past since we were pretty much making them up on the spot.
That said... beware with the time travel! It's one of the sure-fire ways to ruin your campaign.
