is there a suggested date in the AP, year/month/day, when STAP starts?
In Greyhawk, I think it's stated/implied that it starts in 594 CY, but I don't think there's any other guidance. In my campaign, I started it on 15 Flocktime, thinking that Soller Vark would plan his cargo transfer (at the beginning of TINH) to be on a particularly dark night, which happens around 17-18 Flocktime I think.
(It's now 22 Flocktime, and they've just finished TINH.)

Currently in the world of Greyhawk, it just became CY 597 (as of January 1st our time), but TINH came out a few months ago, so we started in CY 596. I think we started on 6 Harvester, with the same idea as Sben of trying to put Vark's plan on a dark night.
I know it never states anywhere the exact date/year, and I'm also not sure it implies CY 594, though I could be wrong.

Can't be 594 - Age of Worms started in CY 595, and is already over at the start of Savage Tide.
596 is likely.

For ease of use, I assume current date - 1410 years equals CY of the Flanaess. I seem to remember that this relation was more or less "canon", but I don´t recall where I got that from. This works fine with the APs, as James showed above. (And it should work with most offical publications, even the old ones, IIRC)
