Huhueteotl or Huehueteotl?

Is it Huhueteotl or Huehueteotl? There's an Aztec god named Huehueteotl.

I've always seen it as Huhueteotl for the Olman, and it is so listed in several "official" places (like the LG Deities pdf). It seems to me an obvious derivative of the real-world Huehueteotl.

I'm not sure if one is more historically correct or not. I do know that you sometimes get these problems translating words to English that are written using different written languages. For instance, I've seen Muhamar Qaddafi's name spelled about 5 or 6 different ways.

It's Huehueteotl. Those Aztec god names are hard to spell and proof.

The majority of the Olman gods are inspired from actual central American deities, to the extent that they share the same names and mythology.

Will the map be updated? If so, I'll have to update the one I made. Unless the earlier editions also have the typo.

EDIT: It seems that the Scarlet Brotherhood for 2e also had the typo. Does that mean that Huhueteotl is canon in both Greyhawk and Mystara? :)

As I mentioned on the WotC boards, either spelling is probably okay, to tell the truth. It's too late to change the map (or the old Scarlet Brotherhood book, for that matter). In any case, it's the same deity.
