What generation are the various lycanthropes encountered in "The Twisted Run" adventure?
Because the melee lines on the stat blocks contain "plus curse of blacktooth lycanthropy" I'm assuming the lycanthropes encountered in Silverymoon and those spying on Deg Shanat are first generation. The melee lines of the stat blocks of the wereweasels encountered in the Elevator Room (#7) contain "plus curse of [normal] lycanthropy." So the wereweasels must be second generation or lower.
I'm just a bit confused though. Reading the adventure background makes it seem like Duallen Tiergar and his ranger companions were attacked by blacktooth lycanthropes. So wouldn't Duallen and his friends be second generation?
Assuming that Duallen and the rangers can pass on blacktooth lycanthropy rather than normal lycanthropy: Any PC or NPC bitten by Duallen or a ranger and succumbing to blacktooth lycanthropy would only be a second generation lycanthrope and could only pass on normal lycanthropy correct?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

A new question has arisen while I was familiarizing myself with the various forms of the lycanthropes.
Why do Duallen Tiergar and the rangers have fast healing 5 in all of their lycanthropic forms? I see nothing about gaining fast healing as a special quality in the Blacktooth Lycanthropy sidebar on page 75 or in the lycanthrope entry in the Monster Manual 3.5.

Boy this question takes me back. Those lycanthrope stat blocks were some of the toughest I ever did.
That's basically right, the werewolverienes in Silverymoon are blacktooth lycanthropes, the wereweasels are just normal lycanthropes.
I'm just a bit confused though. Reading the adventure background makes it seem like Duallen Tiergar and his ranger companions were attacked by blacktooth lycanthropes. So wouldn't Duallen and his friends be second generation?
I can see why this would be a little confusing. In this case second generation literally means the offspring of a blacktooth lycanthrope, not its victims. So the children of a blacktooth lycanthrope are normal (natural) lycanthropes, while its victims are blacktooth lycanthropes. "First generation," in this case, means "afflicted."
Nope, any PCs bitten by Duallen and his cronies and succumbing to the disease would be considered "first generation" blacktooth lycanthropes.
As for the fast healing, my notes don't go that far back, but IIRC it should have been part of the template, and was inadvertently left out. So blacktooth lycanthropes should gain fast healing 5 as part of their Special Qualities.
