Apocalypse Golem Save DC?

In "Into the Wormcrawl Fissure", I can't seem to find a save DC for the Stained Glass Golem's Prismatic Spray. Since all their "mental stats" don't provide modifiers, I'm assuming 17 (Level of Spell+10+0 mod), which seems pitiful at high level...Is this right??

(Not to bump, but..) No, really! I don't see a DC listed anywhere for these critters! Is there no save? Is it 17? Is it based on HD and much higher? Help! PCs negotiated past them already but are probably going to get the aid of one in the battles before Dragotha...(Which will begin tommorrow)

If the ability is {Spell-like} then it's likely the spell level modified by their Charisma, as you've already mentioned.

If its {Supernatural}, then it's calculated by 10 + 1/2 of the golem's HD + Constituion or Charisma modifier (again, probably Charisma).

The DC is 23.

The golem's prismatic spray is a supernatural ability that mimics a spell (rather than a spell-like ability), so the DC is 10 + 1/2 the golem's HD (18) + the golem's Charisma modifier (-5), or 23.

Were it to be a Spell-Like ability, the DC would be an extremely pitiful 12 (10 + spell's level + golem's Charisma modifier)... so that's why it's a Supernatural ability.

Whoops! I suppose that would make it a DC 28, not a 17!

The funny thing is, even with me using the lower DC, the party cleric, who had been sent to Carceri via Kelvos's Prismatic Ray ability again failed his save and got shifted away to Hades!


Ahh, I was wanting to use the most advantageous attribute. 23. Right. Balanced for PC use..
