I got my first Class Act accepted! Whee!
But how long before I can expect to it see in Dragon?
I asked Mike this in email, but then it occured to me that many newbie and wannabe Dragon writers might be interested in the answer too, so I figured I'd post the same questio here.
Those of you who have had their Class Acts published, what's the typical time from when the article's accepted to when it ends up on the pages of Dragon?

Like so many other things, the short answer is "it depends."
Some of the CA categories have longer queues than others, some might fit better one month than others. (I don't think Mike would run four CAs that all require non-core books).
To give you a ballpark figure, I have a CA in this month's issue that was accepted June 28 2006, but I also have an older one that still hasn't been published.
P.S. Congratulations!!!

Indeed, Congrats!
I've had as short of a wait as 4 months or so, and as long of a wait as about 15 months.
Four months is pretty much the fastest turn-around an article can get.
Fifteen months might seem long, but there are articles that have floated around for even longer before seeing print. While that's certainly more true for Features than for Class Acts, it's not inconceivable for a CA article to see print two or more years after I've added it to the queue.
