So, my group started into the Locust den this evening.
They came down the ladder, listened to the door just by the ladder and, using the 20% guide chance of a random Locust patrol heard one on the otherside of the door.
One PC readied a tanglefoot bag while the gnome went to open the door to surprise the patrol. HOWEVER...Gnome has almost no Strength and couldn't open the door, alerting the men that someone was on the otherside.
Except, the Locusts were JUST starting to get ready for some PC trouble...they were actually getting ready to go out and find them and deal with them, not ralizing they were coming INTO the den...So the patrol helped them open the door, thinking they were more Locusts.
They Tangled one, took out another and the third ran in the only direction available to him: Right to the room where the six guys are getting ready to go out and deal with the PCs.
PCs follow and take them out, they decide to continue along the doors, going right to the ragadesha (sp?) and the map room and just opened the door to the undead bugbear...which is where we left off for the night.
One more door and they're at Rowyn.
Couldn't get have taken a more direct route right to her.
The guild itself isn't taken down though. So far they've only downed 9 thieves, and I think you had to take out significantly more before the Lotus Dragons are down for the count.
Kersh, the head torturer could subsequently lead the guild or possibly Nimean (I believe that's the name of the Illusionist from the upper level).

My group is in the Lotus den now and should finish tonight. They snuck in and didn't alert the Lotus dragons. You see they were headed to the taxidermist place and while some of the group sat a little ways down the street deciding how to approach the taxidermist, the spelltheif started snooping around the buildings. A couple of lucky rolls and he notices that the boarded up door is not really boarded up. A closer look inside finds the trap door into the den. He tells the rest of the group and they skip the taxidermist all together. Since the place wasn't on alert the doors weren't shut all the way so the group used a method of the two sneak characters (Spelltheif and Shadowcaster) sneaking ahead and clearing rooms before the rest of the group entered. The have defeated the Worg and the kobold spelltheif trapped the door to the sleeping area. They are now about to enter the mess hall and take on the seven of so people in there.
