Eviscerators Beetle's Maddening Chitter effect question

Age of Worms Adventure Path

I have a question about how this ability should work involving multipe sources. For example if there are two beetle's withing 120 ft of a character should he have to make 2 seperate saving throws and each one with a +2 DC since there is another beetle in range? I've always wondered about stuff like fear aura effects from multipe monsters(usually undead types)if a character is in range of more than 1 of these creatures fear effects does he have to make multipe saves for each one? Or since they are all the same effect type should he only be subject to 1 such save a round? Often when a save is made on some effects a character can't be effected by that effect for 24 hrs, how does that work though with several monsters with the same effect would the character have to make a save the next round against another monster with that same effect? Maybe this is spelled out somwhere in a core book or a errata but I haven't seen it and was wondering officially how such should work as well as how others run such similar effects.

Here is the Maddening Chitter effects write up, if I shouldn't have posted it I apologize and will delete that portion if informed or if a messageboard moderator needs to take care of that I understand.

Thanks,
~MB

Maddening Chitter (Su): The clicking chatter of the eviserator beetle’s mandibles is hypnotic, and living creatures enthralled by the sound do nothing but clutch at their skulls, trying to vain to rid their mind of the terrible sounds. At the beginning of the beetle’s action, all living creatures within 120 feet that can hear the beetle’s chittering must make a DC 21 Will save or be unable to take any action that round. For every additional beetle within range of the target creature, the DC to resist the maddening chitter increased by 2. This is a sonic, mind affecting effect. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Not sure what the official answer is, but since this is a one-round effect and the DC increases based on the number of beetles in range, I'd say make one save per round at the adjusted DC. This is a bit different from other kinds of save situations, where overlapping effects might increase the damage or time period of the effect, and it makes sense to roll fewer dice in this situation since the effect of the additional beetles is figured into the save DC formula.

I agree. When I ran this fight, each individual member only had to make one save per round. The best way I saw it was that the effect was generated by the noise, and that rather than one evicerator beetles chitter becoming subsumed by another, the chitter becomes amplified--hence, the "amplified", singular save DC. (But, this is just a reiteration of what has been said already.)
