Is there a Legend to the Map on Page 16 of Issue 140?
Putting Together a CC3 Map based on the map but I need to Know more about it.
What do I need to include on the Player's Map? DM's Map
Evermire?
Magalarve?
Spire of Long Shadow?
I am Quessing that Carver's Pit, Hookface's Lair, Beroark's Maw, Dungeon of Rust and Fire,Fiddler's Cave will be future encounter ares since it is annotated on the Map with a symbol like Kraken's Cove is.
what does the 3 dot triangle mean?
does a square mean a Fortified Location?

Some of the locations on that map might be mentioned in future adventures, but none will play a role in Savage Tide. Hookface's Lair, in particular, played a role in Shackled City.
The key to the symbols is the same one we used for our big Greyhawk map; that key appears in issues #118–#121. For those who don't have these issues:
White Circle with Black Dot: City
Dot: Town (or in this case, plantation)
Square: Castle or fort (generally one that is still in use as a castle or fort)
Three Dots: Ruin (be it a ruined city or fort)
Gate: Dungeon (an underground area filled with monsters and adventure)

Associated with this, I have a couple of questions with regard to the map and its appearance in Dragon #349.
There are a few places mentioned in the article which do not seem to appear on the map. I would like to know where these places are supposed to be relative to Sasserine, and I'm hoping someone can tell me.
These places are Jeklea Bay, the Hellfurnances, Hook Peninsula, the Skyforth River--along with the Crashwater and the Jaridor's Gap Falls. As well, could someone tell me how far the city of Cauldron is supposed to be from Sasserine?
As well, could someone give me a little bit of background on the city of Cauldron. I know it was featured in the first AP, but perhaps someone could briefly outline the basics--it's size and population, how long it's been there, it's other trading partners, the economic niche it fills that allows it to exist, its present political structure, that sort of thing.
One thing I'm not sure I understand relative to Cauldron is the Sea Princes' attempt to erase knowledge of the existence of Sasserine from maps and from general knowledge. If the city of Cauldron is linked to Sasserine by the Amedio Highway and the two cities are trading partners, how successful could this plan ever be? It would seem doomed from the start. Am I missing something?

Check the voyage map on page 31 of Dungeon #141. It shows Sasserine and Cauldron, the Hellfurnaces, Jeklea Bay, and Hook Peninsula (not marked as such, but pretty obvious from shape and identified in the text).
I guess you'd have to consult a Greyhawk atlas to identify the other rivers.

Most of the locations you mention are already detailed in various Greyhawk products, particularly the Living Greyhawk Gazzeteer. They're MUCH larger locations than any of the ones mentioned in Savage Tidings, for one, so there's a lot more to them; they're basically adjoining regions filled with their own cities, dungeons, and adventure that don't impact Savage Tide at all.
As well, could someone tell me how far the city of Cauldron is supposed to be from Sasserine?
The regional map of Sasserine matches up pretty well with the regional map of Cauldron that appears in the Shackled City hardcover. Sasserine's about 60 miles (straight line) from Cauldron, but the fastest route's along a road that makes a "C" shape; that road's about 140 or so miles long.
It's more than featured in the first AP; it IS the first AP in a lot of ways. If you really want to make Cauldron a big part of your Savage Tide adventure path, the best bet is to buy a copy of Shackled City.

The Sea Princes hid Sasserine from the mainland. Cauldron is a backwater city that's even more isolated than Sasserine; in order to get to the mainland from Cauldron, you pretty much have to go through Sasserine. Cauldron knew about Sasserine the whole time, but that didn't matter to the master plan of hiding Sasserine since Cauldron didn't have the resources or ability to do anything about it but play along.

James, thanks a ton for responding so quickly. This is what I love about the Paizo staff. Nothing like geting a quick and immediate response from the editor-in-chief of the mag!
I'm not anticipating a side-trek into Cauldron (although if my players desired to do so, I'd delve into my SCAP issues). I was just looking for some brief background info to include in my response to the inevitsble queries from my players.
All I was hoping for was a brief summery from one of my fellow DMs. I never expected a response from Numero Uno. Wow!
I was also wondering if, post-SCAP, the city of Cauldron was in any way expected to be appreciably different than it was before that AP began?
