Question about Article "The Glyphs of Cerelion" (p. 147 ff.)

Hi there,

I really love Monster Compendium Vol. I. There seems to be another good idea for the next adventure whenever I have a look into it. So please keep on asking the guys of WotC about permission for Vol. II!

I just read the above mentioned article and stumbled over an omission (?). On page 150 the text on the "Vana" glyph says: "This glyph is exactly like Cand and Jash, except (...)".

I found "Cand" on page 149, but where is the "Jash" glyph?

Thanks in advance,
Günther

P.S.
No comment on this glyph in the official errata file.

Jash, Jash... let's see... ah yes, right between Ik and Jend.

Um...

Er...

Ah rats. Turning to Dragon #50, from whence that article originated, we find a symbol that looks something like this:
t/\/\/\t

It's description is thus...
"Jash: Demon Ward. This powerful Glyph is akin to Cand, yet is even more powerful. It wards against Type III and Type IV Demons, as well as all lower demons and sub-demons. It does no damage, but simply prevents a demon from passing it, and it is limited to a maximum 5 x 5 ft. area. A demon above Type IV passing or touch it will destroy it, and a character may say its name to allow a demon to pass it. Only a cleric of 10th level or higher may cast it." (All errors sic.)

Hello Mike,

thank you for your answer.
Will you update the errata, too? ;-)

Greetings from Germany,
Günther
