Somewhere, in a lost realm that history forgot, a lone figure stood on the edge of a cliff, overlooking a mist-filled valley. The shadows of the surrounding trees engulfed him and the shriek of an occasional woodland creature would pierce the silence from time to time. Shivering in the morning breeze, the figure slowly started to make his way on the narrow path that etched its way down the cliff side. "The sun will be up soon...", he said to himself as he noticed the faint tint of red on the horizon "... and I may never see another night."

"91 left!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.

Then, he stumbled down the rubble strewn path into the valley of mists, drawing and stringing his longbow as he went. Visibility would be poor, he thought, but at least he'd get a shot off at close range before the bladework would begin. Yes, there were only 91 of us left, he thought, but revenge would be his alone! Soon he was at the bottom. Squatting behind a boulder, his senses reached out into the cloying dampness, trying to pick out the telltale sound of orcs moving out of their barracks nearby. “Orc, the other white meat,” he mouthed silently.

Liberty's Edge

Two of the orcs walked a distance away from the barracks, to go relieve themselves. "Ironic," he mused, "that filth such as these don't wallow in their own excrement like the pigs they are." They came straight towards him through the fog.
He nocked an arrow and let fly, blasting straight through it's heart. Silent kill.
The second one saw the first slump to the ground and let out a braying sound; his second arrow took him in the neck.
Two orcs near the door to the barracks looked up for a split second, and then went on about their business.
