ok i have seen the term "gestalted" Fighter/Cleric a few times and i have never heard of this till now.. might be because i am not big on the new 3rd Ed stuff and wont have the full set till beginning of next year but where can i find the info at about this?

It's from the Unearthed Arcana. You just kinda make a doubleclassed character that goes up a level in both classes every time the character gains a new level.
It's useful when you're running an adventure with two player characters and you can't easily fill out a party.
