D&D Cartoon on DVD!

So I saw over at the WotC D&D site that the D&D Cartoon will be out on DVD in December 5th. Not only that, but included with it will be a hardback D&D game supplement based on the Cartoon: stats for the characters, their magic items, and monsters/villains, too. Its like I'm 6 again on Saturday morning. Can't wait till 12/5/06!

I'm so all over that. I have been Tivo'ing the episodes on Cartoon Disney and my kids love them. My son pulls out my old 1st edition Monster Manual and tries to find the monsters in the cartoon.

Its actually on tv now? You say Toon Disney? What time? Is it daily or weekly or what? I had no idea it was even on.

It's on once a week on eitehr Saturday or Sunday (I think SUnday). I don't remember what time since it's seasoned passed I haven't paid much attention to the actually time it's on.

This release is WELL past due.

I have a home-copy of the series on DVD I got from some Pirate from Sasserine on that big internet auction site. I payed $25 bucks for it. The quality is substandard, but I loved it nonetheless, waiting for the real thing.

Here it comes - my prayers have been answered. I'd have to say that this is the single most important TV series I will own on DVD, and esily Top 10 in my entire DVD collection.

I hope I don't offend anyone by mentioning price (I didn't notice one on the WOTC website), but considering the extras, I'd pay between $50-$100 for this series. Maybe more....

I don't know if anyone else knows this, but the series was released properly on DVD over here in the UK, I've had them for quite a while. A lot of the extras mentioned on disc five of the new set are spread throughout my set's four discs, so I'm of two minds as to buying a whole new set just for a couple of extra features.
