Multiple Natural Attacks, Weapon Focus, & Improved Critical

Rules Questions

I am sure this has been covered before somewhere, but I am unable to find it.

I have an Alchemist, who has the Feral Mutagen...
So it says he gains 2 claw attacks and a bite attack. So I have a few questions:

1) Would the 2 claws be at the highest bonus and the bite at -5 (unless I take the Multi-attack feat)?
2) Since my attacks are Natural attacks at that point, if I take Weapon Focus, is the type "Natural" or would it be "Claw" or "Bite"?
3) If I pick up Improved Critical, again would it apply to "Natural" or a specific attack, such as "Claw"?

Thanks!

1. If they are all primary attacks none of them get a penalty.
The mutagen also says they are made at the full BAB bonus.

Quote:
Feral mutagen: Whenever the alchemist imbibes a mutagen, he gains two claw attacks and a bite attack. These are primary attacks and are made using the alchemist's full base attack bonus.

2. You would have to take weapon focus(claw) for the claws, and weapon focus(bite) for the bite.

3. It has to be the specific attack just like weapon focus would be.

As far as primary vs secondary. The power will tell you which it is. If it says its primary you get full bab with any primary natural attacks regardless of how many you do.

For weapon fitness you don't need to specify anything it applies to any suitable attacks.

For improved critical you do need to specify claw or bite.

The suitable attack is the weapon you select, so you do have to specify the specific natural attack. Natural attacks are a weapon group, not just one weapon. Each specific type of natural attack therefore has to be called out individually.

They changed how natural attacks work in pathfinder. Most of the attacks are primary, so there's fewer natural attacks with -5s.

Quote:

Tiger allowed 3 feats
Feats Improved Initiative, Skill Focus (Perception), Weapon Focus (claw)
Quote:

Tiger, Dire allowed 7 feats
Feats Improved Critical (bite), Improved Initiative, Run, Skill Focus (Perception), Skill Focus (Stealth), Weapon Focus (bite, claw)

Note the weapon focus is take twice for dire tiger giving it 7 feats.

Quote:

Weapon Focus (Combat)
Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for the purposes of this feat.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.

You do not have to select a weapon for Weapon Finesse. You can add your Dex bonus instead of your Str bonus to attacks made with ANY light weapon (including natural attacks)

For Weapon Focus or Improved Critical, you have to specify one type of natural attack (Claw or Bite). If you select Claw, you get the benefits with both claws.

Sorry he say d weapon focus and I read finesse. So yes you have to specify.. actually did don't know grapple was valid for weapon focus.

That is what I figured (for the Improved Crit).

Thank you all.
