Hi all,
I felt like spending a couple of hours on photoshop so I came up with a map for running the Red Hand of Doom in Faerûn.
As you might know, the map of Elsir Vale is a near-perfect fit to the Channath Vale (Shining South, between Halruua and the Shaar), so it was not too hard. The map is based on an excerpt of the "Shining South" map of the western Shaar and I re-did it so the region fits perfectly to RHoD. I also added the missing locations.
I hope that this is fine in terms of copyrights. Otherwise, please, could someone from WotC let me know and I will remove the file from my server.

If you don't mind, I would like to download those maps for a friend of mine, who wants to DM it in the FR.
I presently run this adventure in Eberron but unfortunately could'nt find such a fitting place for the vale than you did with FR!

I did not really "find" the place in the FR, Rich Baker had mentioned in his thread, that this is the region he had used as geographic baseline for RHoD, so I did not have to look a lot for it!
There were just some things to change (e.g. expand the Shaareach to the west so as to include the Dawn's Way, expand the Lhespenbog, Move Lhester a bit down to where Rhest is, add a couple of small towns, etc.). It was not a lot of work: I really just worked from Todd Gamble's work and edited the map a bit (thanks Clone Stamp and Layers!)
My love for Eberron is limited, so I'll pass on this one. But I am sure that there is an Eberron fan somewhere with an access to photoshop and some time on his hands... ;-)

I had actually considered placing my Red Hand of Doom FR campaign in the Earthspur Mountains west of Impiltur. Now I may need to rethink things.
The advantage (as I see it) is that if you set your RHoD in the Channath Vale, you can have the PCs hail from Halruua (start with two short adventures in Halruua and then have them travel to the lands beyond the North Wall.
That's an excellent opportunity to use all the excellent material in the Shining South sourcebook. ;-)
