I have just finished reading the Fiendish Codex (well the first one anyhow) and found a few things quite interesting. Here's a few things I've picked out:
1. In The Wells of Darkness is trapped a rather interesting demon named Shami-Amourae (who also appeared in an early Dungeon adventure). Now, if I'm not mistaken this former lover of Demogorgon has a secret that might be central in a plot to overthrow the demon prince. Mmmm...
2. Dagon is allied with Demogorgon, and the Prince of Demons has learned many ancient secrets about the Abyss from the Obyrith lord. Double mmm...
3. The entire realm of the Gaping Maw. Possible STAP enemies in the form of Kargath the Betrayer, the balor Belcheresk, and The Blood Empress. Triple mmm...
Anybody else notice any "hints" about the STAP in this book?

I caught the Shami-Amourae reference as well. Actually, the whole Wells of Darkness entry just hums with possibilities; for example, Ebulon, Graz'zt's former lieutenant knows a lot of his ex-boss' secrets, and Graz'zt is Demogorgon's greatest enemy. This info could be crucial in obtaining a favour from the Dark Prince - or perhaps Ebulon just knows a thing or two about his ancient enemy.
Personally, I think it could be a good idea to visit Yeenoghu's realm as well, and listen to the wisdom of the dying obyrith on the shore - so conveniently located next to the Abyssal Sea...

In a shanty tavern by the wharf in a certain city, there comes an old Sea Dog on certain nights, whose shaky demeanour stems from more than an overreliance on strong stout. For an ancient sea salt he is, and has been salted by such seas as do not bask under a prime material sun, nor move to the whim of a lunar gravity; their tides are drawn by the beckoning of chaos.
He speaks of things seen there mortals usually see only after damnation, and oblivion; he mutters these tales between frothy swallows and frantic starts at mere flickerings of shadow.
And for the price of a night's carousing he can tell you in delectible detail about the Cannibal King, scourge of the Curwash, and his maddeningly fervent commitment to the art of survival at any cost.
And he can tell you about the folly of Captain Herask, who lost the lordship of The Waverazer to a mutineer spawned in a realm of madness, a fiend he himself did call from the abyss.
For he has sailed on seas where the stars can only guide your ship toward doom, and do so with a cunning purposeful intent.

No, no, I´m absolutely sure it is pure coincidence that a book co-authored by James Jacobs, who also happens to be Editor-in-Chief for Dungeon Magazine, should feature ideas playing a role in the upcoming adventure path in that very same magazine :-) Not to mention that a certain Erik Mona also co-authored the book...
