How many cultists should I place in the Hextor temple? I know this has been covered before, but I am in a hurry to prepare for Thursday's game so I am taking the easy way out and bringing it up on these boards one more time :) Thanks all in advance!

Make sure you review and come up with the temple tactics ahead of time, because the way the sidebar reads in the magazine is not correct. All the room numbers are incorrect.

oh yeah....arghh. I am still looking forward to running this adventure though as my campaign needs a death to spice things up. My players will barge in to the temple without hesitation, and this adventure looks like it will make a group pay a hefty toll for not using smart tactics. They are 4th level though, will I need to bump any encounters up to ensure a tough fight? Thanks for the heads-up festivus.


I doubt you will need to bump anything up to make it a challenge, but it depends on how things go down.

My group quickly realized that they were being setup and foiled their plans halfway through execution, but then my group is pretty careful after what happened in the Whispering Cairn. They were still surprised by what came at them from behind the door the cultist just opened and made for a heck of a fight for them.
