I read a module(?) a while back where the players actually play the humanoid races trying to defend their homes (caves?) against the onslaught of humans. I'm not sure if the player characters started that way or if they were racially turned into their enemy. Anyone remember which module i am speaking of? Sorry if i am vague on the details. Would you be inquiring about "Reverse Dungeon"? It was a 2nd edition adventure which came out in the late 90's in which the players played monsters defending a dungeon against adventurers.
I still have that adventure in a box somewhere. I loved it at the time. My favorite of the monsters you could play was the one who got turned into a powerful wraith by a cursed ring. Gee, I wonder where they got that idea.
