Are there other shipping options available for shipping to Canada other than the two listed? 8$ US or 7$ US for a thirteen dollar product makes me extremely hesitant to order quite a lot of the things I'd otherwise like to order through Paizo. I end up scouring Canadian sites just for a cheaper shipping cost.

We display all of the appropriate options that are available when you check out, so the short answer is no.
We're doing some negotiations with respect to shipping costs now, so shipping costs might change for some packages to some locations in the future, but I can't say for sure whether it'll be significant to you or not.
One thing I can suggest is that if you order a few things at once, your shipping will be a lot less than if you order a few things separarately.
