My characer is trying to create an 8th level spell (hes level 15) and i was just wondering if anyone knows what the XP cost, time, and money of creating a spell are (if there are any). Thanks in advance!
The information you're looking for is found in the Dungeon Master's Guide, page 198, under the heading "Researching Original Spells". To summarize, it costs 1000gp per spell level (8000 for an 8th level spell) and takes 1 week per spell level (8 weeks, in this case). It also requires a Spellcraft check at DC 10 + Spell Level to produce a viable spell.
Further guidelines for creating new spells are found on page 25-36 of the DMG under "Creating New Spells".
