My Party is debating storming the conference of the Bad guys in House Rhiavadi or not.
They want to inviltrate the house.
Would it be possible to replace a simulacrum Halfling through a real one?
One of my Party members is a Halfling Paladin of Tyr and he wants to replace a member of the Household
Would that work?
Somehow i have a bad feeling about that.........
Second they think about to hunt the Guests down separately when they are leaving the House.
The party doesnt know who is meeting there between the House Lady but they think its to dangerous to storm the builiding directly.
Does anyone around here had his players hunt the Guests down after the Conference?
Any comments or proposals for that?

My party stormed the meeting while it was going on. They figured it was dangerous to attack than, but would take too much time to track down the unknown individuals afterwards.
They buffered themselves up as much as possible, and than using invisibility, and silence magic's they got surprise, and launched a fierce attack with fireballs, flame strikes into the center of the group. The combat took 10 rounds, with one fatality, and a very resource depeleted party. They captures the Jester, and traded his life for information. They than pillaged the place looking for information until they found the secret room.
Currently they are planning to attack House Vhalantru after resting 24 hours, and have arranged some distractions to occupy the Half-Orc's through out the city; as to draw them away from House Vhalantru.
If your party chooses to hunt down the individuals, you should prepare a number of extra encounters and detail where those individuals might be found. They should not be able to find the individuals alone, but rather working within their respective organizations. For example, I placed the Necrocants working out of a ruins located in the Haunted Village by Redgorge. Zarn Kyass would most likely be in the Half-Orc camp surrounded by his followers. The Jester Lord could possibly be arranging a counter attack against the party for slaying his second (Jil)/ or attacking his Guild house (Brass Trumpet). Tracking down all these extra faces could provide a lot of minor side quest, as finding them will take time (as opposed to having them all at one place, and they also do not nessarily know names, or details).
The replacing the halfling is not a universally bad idea, it just doesn't sound to good to have a Paladin attempting to be deceitful in the face of such obvious evil. This would require really good bluff attempts, and some decent spells (alter person) etc. Now an invisible rogue could infiltrate the house, over hear the conversation, perhaps get a look at who’s in attendance and than sneak out again. The house has a strong front door, but no real protections anywhere else. My party climbed up and entered through the observatory.

Thanks.
The Prob is my Party messed earlier with Lady Thirifane and it didnt went well for them.
They are quite Paranoid about the building and think it massively protected which isnt the case.
I will have only Wards against Scrying there during the Meeting.
The halfling is the only one who can try to get in.
He was a rogue before changing career.
And yes i dont think it will went well when he will attend the meeting 2 Rogue / 11 Level Paladin of the God of Justice.
This will give me some Headache, i always get remembered on a campaing in which i played and we infiltrated a meeting of some Vampires with a Lathander priest in the Party........
That went well until the Priest saw the Vampire: " In the Name of the Morninglord............."
Yes this will be real interesting.
Someone any proposals how the Party could gather some Informations about the participants and how to find them afterwards?
Legend and lore?
Do the Guest leave all at the same time or do some of them stay longer?
Thanks.

My Group cant take on Vhalantru yet.
They have 13 Hours game Time until the "Conference " at House Rhiavadi.
When they go hunting Vhalantru they will miss the conference.
Dont think they will get through Oblivion in 13 Hours.
Problem is that the City Watch is looking for them.
Some have a quiet impresive List of warrants and the rest is searched for possible having informations where the fugitives are found.
So they have to keep a low profile atm.

Wow ... how did they get the warrants on their heads?
And if they can't get the V-suit, how stealthy are they? The group at House Rhivadi aren't pushovers.
A suggestion: if it's going to go badly with the halfling paladin, at least offer to have whatisface from the Striders cast Rary's Telepathic Bond on the halfling, so at least before he gets smeared all over the ballroom floor, the PCs will hear the evil villan monologue rant ...

Well like I said earlier, some of the members should be easier to find than others.
-As for gathering information, if they can get a look at them, than they can use descriptions to gather information.
-Magic can help locate the individuals once they have a description. Scrying can let them actually locate and observe some of these individuals. Commune (clr5) will let them ask their gods for details. Locate creature should be able to find any individual as long as you've observed it from 30'.
As for the individuals again this is some of what I did:
-The Necrocant priest is going to be easy to describe. Depends what you decide that they are going to be doing after the meeting.
-Zarn Kyass also easy to find, as he's the Merc captain of the camp. So he would most likely be in the Half-Orc camp surrounded by his followers.
-The Jester Velior Thazo: I would have him found by having him ambush the party... counter attack tactics.
-Adrick Garthun I would have them learn his name as a slip up on behalf of Velior Thazo. Some kind of note with his name. Once you have a name, its just a matter of greasing palms to find some one.
-Mhad should not be found unless you want to have her found. In my campaign, I have Mhad a part of an organization of Vampires that control Hollowsky. Mhad is their contact to the Cagewrights.
-Vervil Ashmantle, this is a Slave trader from out of town.
