Favored Enemy recommendations?

Without giving away any spoilers, what would your recommendations for favored enemies be to a ranger about to begin the SCAP?

Rangers would be best to take animals, dragons, humanoids (human, goblinoid, or orc), or outsider (evil).

I'd recommend humanoid (goblin) for first level for sure. The first two chapters are full of them (hobgoblins and goblins)

I don't know though if I'd agree with the animals, really aren't that many of them as far as I remember. Goblinoids might be a good choice for the lower levels, but you rarely meet challanging goblinoids at higher levels. I don't know if I'd advise that to my ranger player. Human and Orc seem just as good choices at low level (and they continue to be good choices at highter levels) while outside (evil) and dragon would be fine choices for the later picks.
