He surely is, he is the last Overking of the former Great Kingdom, as Ivid V. He is the man responsible for the creation of the animus (a horrible undead creature not unlike a lich, featured recently in dragon 339), and he is one himself now, IIRC. The attribution to FR is questionable at best.
The not officially published source book "Ivid the Undying", detailing the Great Kingdom after the Greyhawk Wars ("From the Ashes" as main setting) should be available somewhere on the web, perhaps even on canonfire?

I highly doubt there's a reference to Ivid in CoR. He's a Greyhawk figure. Perhaps you are thinking of Imphras II, the death knight associated with Soneillion?

Does this have any relation to the question of Acerak being supposedly listed as a Forgotten Realms character as well?
Both (Acererak and Ivid V) are unquestionably GH figures.
Acererak could easily be imported into virtually any campaign (as a mysterious figure whose past is shadowy at best), but Ivid would be difficult -- he is a ruler of a great Kingdom (in fact, the Great Kingdom), and will affect the region's history significantly.

There's a beautifully-done pdf at

Woops.
I checked my CoR and I was thinking of "Aumvor the Undying". Quite different indeed, but I was confused by the "Undying" title...
So much about posting from outside without access to my sourcebooks...
Thanks, Eric!

No problem. I should have realized the point of confusion was "the Undying". Aumvor actually dates back in published form to the early days of "Pages from the Mages" in Dragon magazine, so both he and Ivid are well-entrenched in the lore of their respective settings.
