Total Number of Spells

A clap on the back for the first person who can tell me the total number of individual spells in the 3.5 PHB. Thanks to anyone who helps.

wow, how could I have been so off? my total came in somewhere near 607. Hmmmmmmmm..... here we go again.

That's because you weren't so far off. The actual total is 605. (I've got 'em all in a database.)

I guessed. I was only aiming for a 95% confidence interval... missed by 21%

P.S. Did you create the database you are using or can it be purchased? Counting all those spells by hand was quite the pain.
