Uwe nods grimly and says, "A great deal of new information has come in tonight which will almost certainly change your immediate plans. I traveled with the coterie that you introduced me tonight and we went to meet with Xing and Vitaliano, we discovered that a new force has entered Venice. A Methusalah known as Alexander of Clan Ventrue. Apparently, he was the Prince of Paris until recently. We did not spend much time discussing why he felt the need to leave for Paris, but he definitely intends to return to his old seat of power as soon as he can. Unfortunately, he has decided that being the Prince of Venice in the interim will serve his benefits. He asked that I tell you that you should join with him. He has said that he would raise one of the Children of Lasombra to Prince of the city upon his departure." Uwe pauses briefly, but continues before Leopold can reply and says, "To add to this, Alessandro has indicated that another Methusalah named Lantla and her Childe Gottsdam are also enroute to Venice. Alexander did not feel that Lantla was interested in becoming a Prince, but he had no idea why should would come to Venice, at least not one he was willing to share.
Uwe stops and stands silently as he waits to see how Leopold would react to this news.

Isaac drinks of your blood, brining him 2/3rds to your sway. He appears to wish to speak but does not, "What shall you have me do my Lord?"

"I am familiar with this Xing Shi, she was present during the Camarilla Conclave. Her Lasombra bloodline is of our ilk, the Grandchilde of Alejandro. Narses didn't quite know what to make of her and neither do I.
Vitaliano is of Clan Malkavian, but seems to be more possessed of sanity than most others of his Clan.
Those two and the rest of the Coterie are all Neonates, but powerful Neonates, all childer of Scions of the Camarilla Inner Circle or those who were seeking to be members of that Inner Circle".
He stills and ponders further, "I know what not to make of this Lantla and Gottsdam you claim are traveling here.
Alexander being here is bad enough though perhaps we could leverage them against Alexander if needs be.
Until they arrive, whoever they are, we must deal with what lies before us. The only way to defeat Alexander is for my brethren and I to ally ourselves still. Splintered he would crush us.
Then again... I am the current Seneschal, perhaps aligning myself with Alexander will place me in line to succeed Alexander when he leaves. Of course, how long that may take is the problem. If he grows comfortable here, he may not wish to ever return to Paris.

Turning his attention to Lydia he says, "It is alright, my dear. Go to your chambers, gather your things, rest and we will discuss more when evening comes."
"If it would make you more comfortable, you may come to my chambers to rest." he adds understanding the Lamia's unease with the whole situation.
"Moses, Isaac, come with me you shall stay in my chambers until nightfall."

"I think perhaps I'll simply deny their business. My reputation as 'loyal to the Doge' means that it will likely not be a surprise that they are refused, and I can always say others have rented the rooms before time." He rubs at the bridge of his nose, "It is tempting to be more hostile but I hardly need more attention. Anything else to report or suggest? I apologize for my curt manner but I have had little time to rest from recent challenges."

"I think that he is incredibly dangerous. He is ancient and powerful, and being told anything other then yes is not something he is accustomed to. And potentially, not something he is willing to accept. Being his seneschal would potentially work for your long term plans, if he does return to Venice at some point in the near future. But it could also just put you near a being that cares nothing for you and might grow violent at any time. If you are not sure of your support in Venice, I would question the wisdom of trying to directly confront him. But the Kindred in Paris were able to convince him leaving was the wiser option. Perhaps the same can be true here." Uwe shakes his head and says, "But I would not trust him very much. He spoke of killing those around him easily. Beyond that, I am not sure how he can change the math in Paris enough to return as the Prince. But I have slept for sometime. Perhaps he has more friends then I would expect from this news."

Moses takes to rest rather quickly after getting his eardrums scrambled quite badly. Lydia takes a crouching position guarding the door and closes her eyes, leaving you with Isaac.
He sighs, "I cannot help having been compelled by Augustus Giovanni himself My Lord.
I arrived here an hour before you did and I was questioned as to what took place in the Giovanni Family's absence.
I further informed them that you were disinterested in whatever deal it was they wished to extend to you.
Pietro said that was "quite the pity" and said no more.
I believe he was going to let me go, or perhaps kill me, one can never be too sure with the Giovanni, and well... then you arrived".

There were several Elders in Paris that forced him to flee, his own Childe - a battle hardened Crusader, several Toreador Elders, and the Tremere Inner Circle Member Goratrix. A not insignificant number of Cainites even for him to stand up to.
Here, there are far fewer of us and even fewer with the power to resist his will, save this Lord Bion I suppose.
I will be forced to consult with Magdalena and Alejandro. There is a possibility that in Narses Elysium we could defeat him, or we could all be taken to the damned Abyss in the trying.
Most recently he was a guest in Constantinople, perhaps he hopes that his allies there and whatever favors he can obtain as Prince of Venice will allow him to return to Paris.
But I fear you are correct, considering his ability to alienate those around him or slay them if they displease him, such a gathering may take a longer time than I or my siblings would care for...
Alejandro I think has himself, Savio and likely the Tremere Inner Circle member Radek on his side, Magdalena has her Abyss Mysticism to defeat Alexander we would need her, giving her quite the advantage to lead if that were to be how we would defeat the ancient Ventrue.
What of this young Coterie, any idea where there loyalties lay?"

He has lost something in his care of her he fears, his humanity threatening to dwindle...and yet to see her again gives him a spark of that yet. It is in danger of being ownership rather than partnership.. and he fights the beast's possessive nature.
"My love. I am so sorry to have taken so long to return to you. I am home." He lets the utter weariness escape him.

Exhausted, she murmurs, "Come to bed my Love", and she falls fast asleep once more. As do you, holding her in your arms once more.
He fills her in on the talk he had earlier about the unwelcome guests and how he is handling it so she can be in on it during the day.
Before she draws him to bed, he pours her a small cup of his vitae, not much, and watches as she savors his essence. Zuana makes a happy noise, then once the last drop is licked away from the cup and lips, kisses him and leads him to sleep with her.
The Toreador stares for a bit at the beauty of his wife as she returns to sleep, but eventually he enters torpor to dream whatever dreams he is allowed, and hoping if he has any that they are pleasant.

"Alessandro seems set on aiding Alexander as a leader of his clan. They spoke privately after the rest of us had left. I see no reason to think he would change his mind. But perhaps if the rest of the coterie opted to move against Alexander, his loyalty to them might change his calculations. Uwe starts with the easy one before continuing with the next easiest to explain, "Geoffroi seemed to side with you before Alexander's arrival. He stayed quiet during our time with the ancient Ventrue, so I am not sure if that changed his mind or if he would still support you. He seems like one whose loyalty you may have a better chance of retaining."
Uwe pauses and considers briefly before continuing, "Ranerius seems disappointed...nay, insulted... that any gains he may have made under Narses might evaporate under new leadership. Alexander's final words together were ones that warned Renerius from siding against him. In return Alexander promised to leave Ranerius alone.[b]
Uwe again considers the next Kindred he had recently met, [b]"Michele did not say who he planned to support for now, but indicated the Elder K'haytall was siding with you. Alexander felt it would be easy to sway this Elder when he heard that the Ventrue had come to town. I would expect Alexander to shore that up soon if he thinks it is an easy place to gain support."
Uwe move more quickly to the last member of the coterie and says, "Lorenzo also declined to pick a side. He tried to downplay his own abilities, but Onfroi had apparently discussed the coterie and their abilities with Alexander before our arrival. Lorenzo seemed interested in finding out about his Sire. Alexander indicated that he had no information from outside the city currently. But Lorenzo's Sire may be important in him determining who he will support. I know not if he is happy or not with his Sire though."
"Lastly, Lord Bion plans to let your siblings know. So they may be informed before you speak to them. I do not think he seemed interested in interfering with Alexander's plans though. Although, he did mention that perhaps this would get you and your siblings to finally sit down and talk. Alexander did think that Lord Bion's support was deeply important to him. I doubt he will leave Lord Bion on the sidelines for long." Uwe adds.

"Indeed, Khay'tall has aligned himself with me. He has led me to believe that a Setite Methuselah that he himself awoke is traveling here to set her lair within Venice.
I believe his, and her, original plan was to entice Narses into allowing her to secretly operate here. Now though, with Narses dead, Khay'tall believed that perhaps, she, should rule as Prince. I was reserving my own judgment on that matter until her arrival. A secret I held and that I now share with you as Alexander's "claim" complicates things even further.
In addition, Bernardo, the Gangrel who committed amaranth upon Narses has also aligned himself with me. It is not clear whether that act will cause Bernardo to act erratically, but he must be kept under close watch that's certain.
I shall indeed meet with my siblings and gauge their reaction to the development of the claim of Alexander. While I don't wish to commit to him, I also want to avoid my siblings committing to him first.
And here I believed the political intrigue of Venice was dangerous when my Sire rules..."
He pauses to consider all you have told him and then continues, "Tomorrow evening, would you be so kind as to visit the Artiste? Getting her on our side may well ensure that we get Ranerius to support us. Perhaps if she can "adopt" him, I can give him Domain here in the city which is what he desires retaining both of them as allies.
I would expect this Geoffroi to remain loyal as he is a Knight and they are generally trustworthy after having so given their word. He is young though so I suspect that he would have given his support to whoever approached him first.
I cannot expect the Ventrue to side with me, they are generally ones that stick to their own kind.
Indeed, both the Cappadocian and the Setite, among others not aligned with that Coterie feel betrayed by their Sires who sought to sacrifice them to escape from the Mortal Hunters by day. If Lorenzo controls the old Giovanni haven, that place itself is worthy of plumbing for its secrets so getting him to aid us could be critical in the immediate and long term. After all Narses used the powers of that Clan to great effect to spy on his enemies.
Lord Bion wishes to remain unaligned to tend to his work. He'll not fight for or against anyone, but yes, who he endorses may hold great weight considering he is the cities oldest citizen.

Michele returns and hands the glass to his brother. "Drink and then start to make preparations for your journey. I wish you well."
" I bade my brother to travel to strengthen our relationships outside Venice but my true reason was he was demanding I/we do something to avenge our cousin's death. Please make sure he is watched during the day and leaves quickly. in addition to that I need you to procure 2-3 people as I must feed to my fullest as I go to a meeting tomorrow night which I do not know the outcome. make sure they will not be missed. I plan to be with Arcadius throughout the day if I can stay awake to give me an edge at this meeting if needed. make sure the vessels are brought before the next night as I need not be disturbed when I am with him. If you have no questions then I take my leave. Michele will then go to Arcadius and ask for him to teach him Obtenebration throughout the day. Michele will use a temp willpower to stay up to learn it. Then after nightfall he will feed to full and provide sustenance to Arcadius if he requires.

You wake in the evening you exit your locked room and find your Retainer, Abramuccio, loitering outside in the living room waiting for you. He gives you a description of the Murano Island Mazzega Glass factory. All glassmaking had been moved here about 20 years ago for fears of accidental fires burning the wooden homes of Venice proper.
Although the glass blowing work is exquisite, the location itself it is quite a mundane location that does not appear tied to any specific Cainite purpose. Perhaps that was the angle from Xing, a mundane place where other Cainites would be unlikely to loiter. The area near it has few homes so at night it should be a place where even Mortals are unlikely to be located.

You wake with still more questions than answers, but your sleep was able to clear you mind to remember one things at least, that legless Baali was brought by you and Andrew to the warehouse owned by Alessandro to ensure that it did not once more, fall into the hands of the Hunters.
In the excitement of the last few nights, all of your Coterie forgot about it, you presume that Andrew did as well before he vacated the city...
The question is, who can you go to among the older Cainites to have your questions answered? Bion is of course, out of the question...

The chair is placed under the handle of the door, keeping a double lock in place, mental protection for the Mortals as you know that it could not stop a Cainite present who wished entry, especially not in this place with servants who can pass through walls.
Lydia is curled up next to you, still asleep.

I feel like I've been exiled from you by a cruel fate of late."
He has plans, contacting a new ally and telling him Bion will NOT challenge Alexander for one. Possibly awakening Kestrel in hopes that the bond can compel his aid for another. But it feels as if he's been absent from his Inn and wife too long.

Moses falls silently briefly - "I suppose no, he never did. The Nosferatu would at times expound upon the reason for whatever their goals were".
Isaac sighs - "The Nosferatu are masters of information and disinformation, they may well have fed you what they wanted others to know if you were ever caught, it is certainly a tactic that Narses employed, he would program certain pawns with triggered scripts if they were ever captured or questioned".
Moses sniffs in disdain - "Cainites are truly wretched".
Isaac chuckles - "Lo how many decades have their blood kept you alive and vigorous past your prime and you are just discovering this now?"
Moses presses once more - "Speculate for me, why would the Giovanni want the good Doctor?"
Isaac sighs once more - "I prefer not to speculate, but if you wish me to, I shall. I believe that the Giovanni wish to utilize Doctor Cappelli to gather the Childer of all of these Camarilla, delegates, people, whatever they are called, so that the Giovanni can ally with them against their Sires".
Moses sucks in his breath - "Audacity... why would they think that these young ones would want to align with them?"
You can almost feel Isaac shrug - "That is the one million ducat question Moses".

Leonardo enters and closes the door behind him. "Edoardo is on the road with your Brother and a few of your men. He will see them to Ravenna and return, we wished to avoid Ferrara for obvious reasons. It seems that trade with a Roman contact needs to be smoothed over so that will be his first out of Venice experience.
I have procured that which you seek, the volunteers were not easy to brig in unseen but I managed.
Is there anything else you need from me this night besides and introduction and eventual removal of these volunteers?"

Murano Island Mazzega Glass Factory -
After checking to make sure that no eyes are upon you as you raise the cover of the Salubri hidey hole, you put back out the clever folding boat that Andrew showed you, and paddle to Murano Island.
The Island is not as large as Venice proper, but sizable. You stay in the water, competing with other small boats and Gondolas looking for the right place to land. Much of the island appears to be empty save many factories upon the shoreline using the water to assist with their craft.
A bridge, Ponte Longo-whose name means “Long Bridge”-stands as one of Murano’s signature landmarks, stretching over the island’s main canal like a quiet stone ribbon that ties its neighborhoods together, likewise Murano sprawls across tiny islets split by quiet canals and linked by graceful bridges, but Ponte Longo catches the eye.
And a good thing it does as that is where the glass factory you are seeking is located!

Murano Island Mazzega Glass Factory -
Geoffroi paddles his craft about, looking for an out-of-the-way corner or Murano to dock his craft. He would prefer somewhere fairly anonymous, but with supervision of his craft to prevent theft. He is willing to pay a reasonable fee to a boat minder. If anyone questions him he will make like he is a French merchant on his way to a late meeting with some glass factors. Once moorage is secured he will approach the factory warily, searching for any sign of pickets or traps

"Leave Venice?" Had she SLAPPED him, he would not be more surprised, "No. I spoke of leaving the Inn again for a few nights again."
He recovers, "Mind you, there are those that would like to arrange that, but no, that is not what i mean in all. I will likely kiss the sun before I depart Venice."
