3.5e Council of Wyrms to culminate Year of Dragons?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

The title says it all. With both Paizo and Wizards proclaiming 2006 as Io's era, I wouldn't be surprised if it's already in the planning/writing stages but can't be confirmed just yet as a hush-hush project.

That would be great! Hopefully with epic progressions for dragon PCs, and write-ups for the 'other' dragons.

Oooohhh... that would be very exciting (as I am even now running a v.3.5 Council of Wyrms) and the epic progressions for dragon PCs would be nice. (I am right now however using the suggestions outlined in the Draconomicon, starting them off as wyrmlings, and paying close attention to their ECLs and what not.) I didn't like the "dragon classes" articles (at least not for Council of Wyrms.) I didn't think it would allow for the "feel" of the 2nd edition setting.

I'm curious... how do you adjust for the fact that the gem dragon hierarchy from 2e to 3.5e has changed? Before the amethyst was the most powerful and the topaz was second weakest (my interpretation); now the topaz is the strongest and amethyst second.
