Evil Golems

One of my player just learned the secrets to create a blood golem! The book says its always lawful evil, but the argument is that if he creats it, it is bound to him and cant do evil stuff unless he tells him to. We need help.

Being bound doesn't change its alignment -- given the opportunity, it will still do evil.

Edit: at www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr/pg20020731x it says that the blood golem is Neutral. A mindless creature that does
NOTHING beyond following programmed instructions is just that -- mindless. This monster is Neutral.

Collecting enough blood to make one probably isn't Neutral :)

Cool, I was looking at the blood golem of hextor from fiend folio, but this one seems better. I do see your point about getting blood though... I think even draining it from evil guys would be bad.

Hadn't seen the neutral Blood Golem before, but the Blood Golem of Hextor is Neutral Evil for a lot of the same reasons that a Skeleton or Zombie is Neutral Evil. They're all mindless, but the methods of creation leaves an indelible mark of naughtiness, as Piffany would say.
