HoHR: Crooked House Mob and New Mob Related Feats for Elaxan


Age of Worms Adventure Path


My party of 7 characters are 7th level, so I'm pretty sure they will easily breeze through the HoHR Crooked House fight. (Eberron, warforged, action points, 32 point buy, oodles of magic weapons, etc.)

To ramp up this encounter I'm thinking of using the sample human riot from the mob template section of the DMG II (p 61).

What do you think of these two feats for Elaxan?

Mob Protection
Prerequisites: The ability to assume another's appearance through alter self, polymorph or a similar ability.
Benefit: When within an allied mob's space and changing into a form that matches the allied mob's creature type you may become a part of the mob. Enemies cannot target or effect you in any way and you can take no actions except leave. You may leave the mob as a free action and may appear anywhere within the mob's space.

If a mob is dispersed by lethal force, roll d%: a result of 01-30 results in your death, a roll of 31-60 drops you to 0 hit points and a roll of 61-100 leaves you with no hit point loss.

Mob Advantage
Prerequisites: None
Benefit: Opponents in an allied mob's space are considered flanked when you melee attack.

I want to swap out Power Attack and Weapon Focus (short sword) for these feats. What do you think? Do you see any potential issues?

If you think that including these twists to the adventure suits your group and adds to the excitement, by all means, GO 4 IT!!

I am all for changing things when it makes sense or when I think I can catch my fellow Dungeon readers, errrrrr, I mean D&D players using module knowledge to their advantage.
