I want to order the two OotS books, the only problem: I don't have a credit card (and with the way the banks around here behave, I have no intention of getting one as long as I can possibly avoid it). Is there some other way I can preorder the books from Australia? Some address I can send an international money order to perhaps?
I suppose if all else fails I can get a relative with a credit card to buy it for me and then pay them back for it, but I'd rather not.

The toughest part of the process for you will be figuring out how to get a check or money order in US Dollars, which is currently the only currency we accept.
Once you work that out, what I'd suggest is going through the order process online - including providing a shipping address so that postage gets calculated - right up to, but not including, entering credit card info. Then, print off the web page (or write down the pertinent info), and mail it with payment to:
Paizo Publishing
2700 Richards Road
Suite 201
Bellevue, WA 98005-4200
Note, though, that we will be soliciting both The Order of the Stick books through standard distibution channels, so you could just make sure your local game store tells their distributor to order it from us.

Australia Post can do international money orders in US$ (via Western Union, I think), it's all rather simple, I've sent money to the US before, so no problem there.

I try that, but even after entering a shipping address, the "Shipping and handling" price is still quoted as $0.00 - which as much as I'd like it to be true, probably isn't. The second thing after entering the shipping address

I'm not much of a gamer - I know the general basics of D&D but I wouldn't be able to quote any details. I'm into OotS more for the general humour than the subtle injokes. As such I don't really have a "local game store" - if there is one around I wouldn't know where to find it...
BTW: You said on the thread on the OotS forums
At the moment, we only accept MasterCard or Visa, but it doesn't matter if it's credit or debit, so long as it has the MC or Visa logo.
I have a debit card with "Maestro" and "Cirrus" logos on it - both of which resemble the Mastercard logo, so I'm guessing they're subsiduaries or something, is that good enough?
{edit} Nope, it seems not, it complains it's an invalid account number. However it seems it did get me in far enough to choose a shipping method, so something good did come of it. Does it matter which shipping method I pick? Should I just go with the cheapest one? Sorry, I'm new to the whole order-stuff-online dealie.

Looks like you needed to proceed one more step.

I'd suggest looking up "Games" in the phone book, and call around until you find a store that carries Dragon magazine.

It's usually a balance of speed vs. cost - but if two or more options cost the same, I'd go with the cheaper one myself.

I sent this off a while ago, but in my order history thingy on the site it still says I have no orders...
Surely it should have turned up by now? Usually it only takes a week to get my mail to the states...
If it's been lost in the mail I need to know so I can cancel the money order and try again.
Don't worry, Phlip - 10 or more days to get to the US isn't unusual at all, and then there's processing time on our end. I'd expect your order to show up around the middle of next week. Thanks!

The week's been and gone...
Is there any way you can tell if the mail has even arrived, or just needs processing? If it hasn't arrived I'll need to cancel the money order and try again...

I don't like to sound like a broken record, but I sent this in 3.5 weeks ago now, and my order history is still empty. Somehow I'm beginning to think that we have a different definition of "soon"...
I'll check with James on Monday to make sure that was your order I saw, and to make sure it gets entered. (I suspect that the answer as to why it hasn't been entered is that James prioritizes his workload, and we already know that your order won't be shipped until we get our large shipment of the books, so putting your order into the system sooner doesn't mean you'll get it any faster, so it probably isn't as high a priority as some other things on his plate. But I will personally make sure it's been entered by the time we receive the product to fulfill it.
