I spent an hour writing a thoughtful and detailed response to a post on the Shackled City board. When I went to preview it, I was taken directly to the store. I could not get what I had written back.

All I can say is 'this really sucks' and it makes me less likely to contribute to the boards in the future.

What's the deal?

Many of us have had the same experience. For longer posts, like my campaign log entries, I use Wordpad to write the post, then copy and paste it into the messageboard. I think the site times out for security purposes, since it's also a shopping site where you can buy subscriptions and game stuff with your credit card.

Yes, it's a definite bummer.

Farewell2Kings is correct. It's a time-out issue.

We're going to be making some upgrades to the messageboard system some time in the next couple of months, which may address this issue.

In the meantime, please consider composing especially time-consuming posts in the text editor of your choice.

It depends on your browser, but in many cases, hitting the "back" button once immediately will at least take you to the edit page where you can copy the text you'd written.
