Since Greyhawk, or whatever the Free City is in your campaign, is a major Metropolis, how are you going to handle PC's buying stuff? Personally, this is my least favorite aspect of 3.5 DnD, the buying and Item Creation. My PC's with a couple Web spells and a few fireballs, creamed the Lizards at Blackwall Keep. Now they are off into the Mistmarsh, but I imagine I have about 3 weeks before they travel to Greyhawk. I am worried that with the prevalence of Magic Items, and the buying and selling of such, that they will become too tough. How are y'all going to hancdle it?

Eric,
I plan on using Greyhawk:The Adventure Begins. Are you going to give ideas as to where to place the locales within the city, or are you leaving it up to us? I downlaoded Maladins Greyhawk map, printed it, and am in the process of labeling everything from The Adventure Begins.
My question was basically this: I would imagine anything is sellable or purchaseable in the City. I know my players, and they will pool all they have, to buy something big. Should I let them do it, or should I begin reducing the treasure now, so they cannot get the Big Magic Widget?
