My FLGS is lacking...

3.5/d20/OGL

Here I was, with a nice bonus check from my employer, and I thought to myself, "Self! What nifty new game material I could purchase with this?" So I took my happy self to the Friendly Local Gaming Store and realized...

"I have all of these! None of this is new!"

Now, I realize I could buy any new stuff online, at probably a lower price, but since the city I live in only has one real gaming store, it would be a crime not to support it.

My question to the readers is this - if you could make a list to the game store in question, what publishers and/or products would you put on it?

My players come in with new books from time to time. I stopped going to the big gamming stores because everytime they didn't have what I was looking for (mostly new adventure modules), they just answered "Two Weeks... We'll have it in Two Weeks!" And NEVER followed up on it. Since I have practically all the stuff I'll ever need to roleplay for the next thousand years, just my subscription to Dungeon will do fine. The rest is icing.

Sorry, no list.

Uhm, I'd guess it would really depend on what you like and more importantly (in a way) what the gamers in your area like. I mean I have a wide range of interests just within or ties to gaming, other people are more focused with what they'd play.

For the widest range, I'd say:
AEG: superheroes (City of Heroes RPG), spies (Spycraft 2.0), fantasy (d20 stuff), swashbuckling (7th Sea)
Steve Jackson: GURPS (if nothing else their world books make great research material)
Wizards of the Coast: D&D, d20 Modern

There are others out there. I mean Paizo is getting into supplement stuff with their Gamemastery line...
Oh yeah, and that Titanic company might be nifty too.

Even though i dont own everything (sad face), i allow all D20 stuff into my game. The players must bring in their souce books, of course. The fusion of so much material keeps things interesting. You can find some interesting stuff on Amazon.com, so i would look there first. As far as games/modules go, write your own. Your jaw may drop at first at the prospect, but in the end you will be quite happy with the results. Here's what i do: after reading a good Conan or Drizzt book--taking notes along the way--i begin to write modules, as well as worlds, based on said material. Not only do you get to read some fabulous fiction, you can write modules based off of it for your campaigns. In the end, gaming sessions will be infinitely more enjoyable, not to mention, your pocket book will still have green in it. My 2 cents.

Yep, it's kinda at that point. Going to talk with my brother to resurrect our campaign world that we created when we were kids.

Irregardless, still put in my list of "these sound cool - can I order them" from the FLGS.
