The Dao and Marids from Manual of The Planes,as in do they show up in other books after that one?

Also, did Al-Qadim ever get updated to 3.0-3.5 rules?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not so sure about the Dao and Marids... too many books to look through. I can however try to get back to you on that.

The Al-Qadim setting itself was not updated. However there is at least one article related to that setting. In Dragon #315, the Sha'ir class was published... other than that you'd have to find fan sites of that setting to see if anyone has been able to update it.

I looked through my books and couldn't find anything on either the Dao or the Marids.
The books I have (where they might have been) are: Races of Stone, Sandstorm, Stormwrack, Monster Manual II, and Fiend Folio. The closest things were the Nerids and Oreids for the Marids and they're different myths.

I would of figured there would of been an update for Al-Qadim due to it being part of the Realms universe. Guess it wasnt as popular as I hoped.

And I just thought it odd, they would list the Dao and Marid only in one book that isnt along the lines of a MM etc.

Ah well, thanks for the help

For these types of questions, I always consult the DndIndex:

A quick search reveals that neither the Dao or Marid has been updated.

Anyone have contact with the operator/owner of that site? It's been "locked up" for a few weeks now.

Great resourse! I used it a lot.
