Filge Betraying the Party

In the Whispering Cairn Adventure of Dungeon 124 it states that if the PC's accept Filge's offer to join them in their investigations of Dourstone Mine in the Three Faces of Evil that he will betray the party at a critical moment. I may have overlooked it in the magazine 125 but I can find no mention of where this "critical" moment is in the adventure. Am I to assume the critical moment is the final battle with the Faceless One?

Read "a" critical moment as "any" critical moment, not a specific one. It's up to you as DM to choose when he betrays the party, or if he even agrees to join the party in the first place.

I'd say the moment the pc's make camp with filge it's over. A little necroturgent in the trachea can do wonders to the strongest PC in the group. heck he might not even make a peep as he slowly croaks the filge song
