What adventure is this?

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

#1: An underdark adventure, there's a huge cavern with a city. Each section of city is on a seperate piece of rock with bridges connecting the sections. Different groups ruled the different sections. I seem to remember there being a vault or heaviling fortified merchant cave or something.

#2: Players journey to a small town to find it inhabited by undead. They investigate around, uncover some clues, and eventually piece together some magic item (sword?) to deal with the undead and learn what happened.

More clues would be nice. Is it a really old issue? Say before #50 or is it particualrly modern, say after #100. Is it even a Dungeon Adventure?

I remember this one and have it at home somewhere...I think it is from #81 and entitled 'Khazefryn'. I'll be able to check when I get home tonight (unless someone can back that up). I distinctly remember the map you're talking about, though. There are three or four races on the islands (trogs, Kuo-toa, and something else), and a giant guarding the entrance to the vault with his passle of blindheims. I belive that's the one your talking about.

Sorry, no more clues. That's all I can remember of them. Seems like they are middle-old: probably between issues 50 and 100.

I can go search through my stack. I just thought someone would know off the top of their head.

The second one sounds an awful lot like Totentanz from Dungeon issue 90.

Kazhefryn and Totentanz, yep, I knew you guys would figure it out for me. Thanks.

I was about to write Vesicant (#16)... until I saw Underdark.

I actually dont think it's a full fledged adventure. I have an old issue, cant think of the number right now. But there is a Grey dwarf city thats sounds like what you're describing. As I'm at work right now I cant look it up. I think it's the Dragon with 4 alternate underdarks. Hope that helps. I'll look up the issue when I get hme and post it for you.
