So tonight, the PCs (much walloped by the Erinyes) retreated to town to resupply and prepare.
They hired a sage to tell them the weaknesses of devils, and stocked up on holy water and oils of bless weapon, and headed back into the underdark.
The best part is they bought a scroll of lesser planar ally to summon a bralani eladrin. They were figuring on having to pay gold, but I got a great opportunity to lead into the Demonskar legacy. The Eladrin told them to seek out Alakast, and return it to a temple in (my version of) Cauldron.
