As is the girl on the cover... Oh my. :) I didn't think i'd be impressed by the Iconic Fighter, but I am.
Now all we need is the improved cleric art, and we're good. ;p
The illustration on page 37 was one of my favorites. I recoiled when I saw it.
Two pages later gives us the infamous "Two-Headed Dire Weasel", which is actually two dire weasels, but that isn't clear at first. (Actually, I was reminded of an Aspect of Demogorgon...)
Page 58 has a pretty fierce-looking image too. As does 44 (he really DOES have no face, dosen't he...?)
I really love the iconic charachters- They add a lot to the adventure scenes and covers. Plus, they're all REALLY cool.
I haven't finished the actual adventures, but they look good. I wasn't expecting to find anything impressive in Three Faces of Evil, but looking at it quickly... Classic dungeon crawl. Go down, don't come out until everyone but you is dead. Fine. Gotta earn those levels somehow. I'm sure that, in retrospect, Three Faces will be seen as an excellent kickoff to the campaign at large. (I just hope that Sphere of Annilation is used well...)
Keep up the good work, people. The art gets better every issue.
