Whip of Red Shadows

Now I'm pretty sure I've got this right but does the Whip of Red Shadows from Maure Castle still only do no-lethal damage? It's a +4 brilliant Energy Shocking Burst whip. The BE would let it ignore a creatures armor and natural armor bonus (otherwise it'd be ineffective) and the Shock portion does energy damage but I'm guessing it still only does non-lethal damage.

Barring some other sort of class ability (such as the Lasher PrC's ability to do non-subdual damage with a whip) I'd say that's right.
