Daggerford changes, I love them

Age of Worms Adventure Path

This is just to congratulate Eric Boyd regarding the changes he made to Daggerford and the Age of Worms story line for the Realms. I'd rather have a not so shining and peaceful Daggerford in my Realms. I love this kind of small scale changes to a campaign setting, so it can just be me judging by other people's reaction to the shaking up of Daggerford. But, hey, this is just another reason to post my thanks to Eric.

The different changes are also very good when taken in combination. Especially the ones regarding knowing that the Ebon Triad might be unto something really sinister. And just everything seems to fit the previous background, like the Knucklebones story from Faiths & Avatars referenced by Eric in another thread.

Of course it will take more work than leaving everything like it is now, but that is also one of the joys of being a DM.

Can't wait to see the Age of Worms Overload, and the changes made to the addendum to The Whispering Cairn that include ties with the historical realms of Calim.

I hope we also get a Realms explanation of the story of the Queen of Chaos (Shar?) that ties better with Toril's creation myths. I'll be researching to see if I can come with a satisfactory substitute.

Hi,

Glad you liked the conversion.

Regarding the Queen of Chaos, my intent, strangely enough, is that she becomes Memnon which is quite a transformation (chaos->law, female-> male) I realize. I'm keeping it a little vague / loose at this point until I see some of the later adventures. I don't believe AoW will do much with the Rod of Seven Parts backstory, but if it does I need to keep flexibility to see how it shakes out.
