Well I thought I would post my PC introductions hoping mine will spark a little imagination for someone else like previous posters have done for me.
I present:
Uquoz Namrath (NG male human ranger 1)
You were born into the Namrath Clan of the Snake Tribe, a nomadic group of Southern Flan who call the Mistmarsh home. Your time among the clan was an honorable life, however nearly your entire clan was slain in a territorial battle with lizardfolk nearly two summers ago. While many of the survivors of your clan turned to indentured servitude to the corrupt mine managers of Diamond Lake for survival, you turned to the Bronzewood Lodge, a small community of woodsfolk, for guidance.
A ranger within Bronzewood, named Merris Sandovar, perceived your potential as an honorable warrior, hunter, and scout. For a full turn of the seasons Merris guided you in the ways of wild. However a year ago he left Bronzewood to work for an old friend in Diamond Lake’s garrison.
Diamond Lake is not your favorite place in Oerth, it is however a necessary visit for provisions and supplies. Also, it pains your heart to see your proud clansmen indentured to endure menial labor for the greedy mine managers of the town. And while you value your time hunting and patrolling the Cairn Hills and Mistmarsh, you know that you are destined for greater achievements, always on the lookout for greater opportunities.
A few days ago, Nogwier, the High Druid of Brozewood, received notice from Diamond Lake from a pair of travelers seeking an overland guide through the Cairn Hills and has given you the option of honoring the travelers request. You are to meet the travelers, Tempo and Stormy, at an abandoned mine building located on the outskirts of Diamond Lake tomorrow morning.

Tempo (NG male human bard 1)
You find yourself once again in the lively mining town of Diamond Lake, a muddy smudge on the map of the hills east of the fabulous Free City of Greyhawk. Diamond Lake’s inhabitants are predominately miners and laborers, serious folk who spend most of their lives toiling below ground. However, rumors around town speak of a trio of adventurers from nearby Greyhawk, metropolis of wizards and thieves. They’ve been spending a lot of time along the Vein, a seedy road lined with alehouses and brothels, proclaiming their intention to explore an ancient tomb on the lake’s southeast shore called Stirgenest Cairn. You know that their plan will fail, since you’ve been to the Stirgenest Cairn yourself and found it raped of its treasures centuries ago, just like all of the other empty tombs in the Cairn Hills.
But it got you thinking. What if the hills outside Diamond Lake hold other unexplored cairns, still laden with adventure and ancient chronicles?
You’ve decided that there may still yet be potential ancient troves within the Cairn Hills. While socializing and performing at the Spinning Giant, the local watering hole of the garrison soldiers, you have managed to persuade, with your undeniable charm, the local cartographer’s assistant, Stormy to look through the garrison’s old maps for reference to any cairns that aren’t well known (and hence possibly unexplored) by the local populace. Almost immediately she struck a hit, she is in possession of a map she claims to reveal such a location near a mine that went dry several decades ago. She doesn’t think any of the powerful mine managers in town lay claim to the spot, so it’s been mostly forgotten by locals. You and Stormy decide that the cairn is both of your tickets out of the wretched Diamond Lake.
With the location of the mysterious cairn at your fingertips, you and Stormy have decided to setup camp in abandoned mine building on the outskirts of Diamond Lake and have sent word to Bronzewood Lodge, a community of honorable woodsfolk, that you are looking for an overland guide through the Cairn Hills.
The morning of your guide’s instructed arrival has come and you eagerly await their arrival at the abandoned mine building.

Stormy (CN female human sorcerer 1)
You have innate power and potential. Sometimes it is scary to think what you are capable of.
You don’t even know your father and you lived a deprived life with your mother until her poor soul passed more than 10 years ago. Since that time you have grown up on the streets of Diamond Lake, a muddy smudge on the map of the hills east of the infamous Free City of Greyhawk, den of thieves and wizards. Somehow you have escaped the indentured life of a mine laborer and the whoring servitude many young women must resort too and have earned a relatively respectable position as the local cartographer’s assistant.
However, you know there is more. Your can feel your innate energies coursing through your veins.
Recently, the word around town is that a trio of adventurers from nearby Greyhawk are proclaiming their intention to explore the ancient cairns littering the hills surrounding Diamond Lake. While relaxing at the Spinning Giant, you met Tempo, a wandering performer, who wove fabulous tales and epics. You found yourself thinking that there may yet be potential for untold treasures with the Cairn Hills and Tempo suggested you research the map archives for any cairns that aren’t well known by the local populace. Almost immediately you came across the location of a cairn that seems to be forgotten upon any recent maps. You know the relative location is near an abandoned mine that went dry decades ago and as far as you know, none of the local mine managers lay claim to the area.
