Music of Age of Worms

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Dark Archive

Hello all! I'm running the first installment of the Adventure Path on Saturday and I was wondering if anyone had any opinion on appropriate music to set the mood for the different parts of the adventure. What songs really set the mood when walking around Diamond Lake? What tunes fit exploring the Whispering Cairn?

Erik has specifically mentioned to me the soundtrack from Carnivale as being appropriate to his vision of Diamond Lake.

I haven't heard the soundtrack, but several people have also mentioned Deadwood as matching the feel of Diamond Lake.

Carnivale is an excellent soundtrack for the first few Age of Worms adventures. Deadwood's not as good since it's interspersed with a lot of music that's just out of place in a fantasy game. The show itself is spot-on for Diamond Lake, though.

The soundtrack to Ravenous might work for Diamond Lake, even though it's a bit weird at places.

Another one that could work is Last of the Mohicans, althoguh it gets a bit epic for low level in places. And the music to The Ring would work well for the Old Observatory, I reckon.

Liberty's Edge

Try the last track on the Blair Witch Project Soundtrack, which is called "The Cellar". This is the coolest I ever used for Dungeons.
"Dead can Dance", "In the nursery" (especially the albums "Stormhorse" and "Köda") and "Tangerine Dream" are good bands!
"Brotherhood of the Wolfs" is one of my favorites, as well as "Birdy" and "Name of the Rose". Try those, you'll not be dissappointed!!! ;)
