What DnD books are recommened

Obviously the 3 core books (PHB DMG and MM) are needed but what other accessories where tested and what would be recommened to use with this in order to play the adventure closest to how the designer intended?

I'd grab Monster Manual II and the Fiend Folio.

I've been making good use of the Draconomicon and the FR Underdark book as well. But then again, I was told I was an evil DM last night. ;>)

Apart from the core books, we used Monster Manual II, Fiend Folio, Draconomicon, Libris Mortis, Complete Warrior, Manual of the Planes, Planar Handbook, and maybe Book of Vile Darkness at various points in the Shackled City Adventure Path.

Ok so if I was running this (from the HC) and wanted it to be as close to what you imagine a group going through you'd recommened those books?
