I was just wondering if anyone knew a Prestige Class or Core class from any of the D&D or Forgotten Realms books that focuses on summoning? I know about the Thaurmaturgist and the Alienist but they don't quite have the flavour I'm looking for. I suppose I could just change the situation of the adventure to a cabal of summoners...any help would be appreciated.

CB, what exactly are you looking to have this villain summoning? That would help narrow things a bit.
Conjurer- Relics and Rituals
?Nar? Demon binder- Unaprochable East
?Master Summoner? Plot and Poinson
Effigy Master- Complete Arcane (might have more in that one)
Red Wizard- FRCS&DMG (they specialize in specific schools of magic right?)
That's all I can think of off hand...
Truth be told, I have not worked out a theme yet in terms of what the summoner would summon. However, I was thinking along the lines of either great big beasts or being capable of summoning unique individuals (which is probably best covered by the variant summoning rules from Unearthed Arcana).
