Ok, In the Kopru Ruins, Rooms 27,28,30,31, and 32 are all webbby. When the party says "I light the webs on fire" What do you do?
The last time I ran this I had the creatures in these rooms take 1d6 fire (It may have been 1d3 I don't remember exactly), but the heavy smoke kept the party out of there.

I'd use the guidelines in the web spell, which says that a five-foot-square of webs burns away in one round, dealing 2d4 fire damage to anything in that square that round. After that round, that square is empty of webs and won't cause more fire damage, and the fire would spread to any adjacent webs and burn those squares the next round. Repeat. Keep in mind that the spiders can automaticaly detect things in their webs at a range of 60 feet with tremorsense, so once webs start burning (and presumably snapping and thus making noticable tremors), I'd probably have most or all of the spiders and ettercaps in these caves come running up for a nice meal of player character.

Dang, James...you and I think alike; I think this is the third or fourth different thread where I agreed with you 100%...
I ran that encounter EXACTLY how James described, with one addition: due to the fire, smoke and the fight with the spiders, The halfling sorceror, Skaven, had ample time to cast prep spells and hide in ambush when the party went to take on the harpoon spider; the harpoon spider died fast (my fault - I neglected to fully utilize its feats), but the Sorceror almost beat them by himself...he died trying to escape the cave after depleting every spell in his arsenal.

In the module, I believe it said that everything was damp in the ruins therefore, the PC's were unable to light the webs with anything short of magical means, and if they did use magic to light them, they only burned away in the area of effect.
