Whether you want to write for us or already do, check out our new and improved Writers Guidelines!

You can find the link on the main Dragon page, paizo.com/dragon.

This is a good thread to ask us any questions you might have about them, although you might note that there is a new FAQ section at the end.

I noticed that the new writers guidleines make no mention of new monster articles... The Dungeon staff has told me that they will not be doing new monster articles and that such submission ideas should be sent to dragon now... so whats up with that?

Good question! Monster articles fall under the purview of feature articles. Just follow those general guidelines and you'll probably be just fine. For more specific help you can always email Jason Bulmahn at dragon@paizo.com.

Is the Winning Races column gone for good, then? I always enjoyed having new alternative PC races, and I was working on a few myself to potentially submit . . .

New PC races have been folded back into features. In fact, many of the columns we've eliminated are back in the features section. That way we don't need to try to come up with one every month, but if a good one comes in we can still use it. That's true of new races, advice articles, or what have you.

such as Heroic Feats?

Feats, races, and prestige classes can all be a part of a feature. However, we would like to stress that, generally speaking, the article should be able to stand on its own merit without the rules content included. A prestige class or new race without enough background and flavor to make it appetizing to players and DMs is of little use to us at this time.

Yes*.

* If you have an idea for a set of feats, magic items, or other rules bits that focus exclusively on one class (such as feats that only wizards can take or would gain any use from) feel free to submit such an article as a Class Act for the appropriate class. We've already done a few monk magic items in a Class Act and the flaws articles we've published written by Richard Pocklington are sort of like feats articles (and can be used as examples of how you might do a Class Acts article devoted to feats). Spells are a whole different matter entirely, and you'd be better served submitting any spell queries as a Spellcraft article.
