submitting deranged spellcasters

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

According to the dungeon writer submission guidelines, the editors usually (quote) "reject any adventure in which the heroes must: . . . battle a deranged wizard or sorceror." Well, what about a deranged druid/ cleric or somebody deranged because of extended stay in the Far Realm ? (Manual of the Planes)

Deranged spellcasters make great villains, be they wizards or sorcerers or druids or clerics or even bards. However, we'll almost certainly reject a proposal that has nothing but a deranged spellcaster going for it. An adventure needs a stronger hook than a tired old villain... tying that deranged spellcaster to the Far Realm is certainly an interesting hook. Throw in a memorable lair that's something more than a random dungeon under a ruined castle, along with some unique minions and perhaps a few opportunites for roleplaying and I'd say you might be onto something, Erroneus!

another question,
can the psuedonatural template be aquired?

If you're asking if we can use the pseudonatural template in Dungeon, the answer is yes.

If you asking if the pseudonatural template be aquired at Paizo, the answer is yes, but it'll cost ya.

thank you
