The monster entry says, that a Glabrezu has SPACE/REACH 15'/15'.
As far as I got it, Nabthatoron is encountered by the party in room #1 on the Ancient Vault map on page 76 of issue#104. This room is 15' by 15' small.
Am I right that I will face a problem here, if my four players will stand right next to him? He will not be able to hit them, will he?
Of course, I could wait until the party has entered room #2, but since the next part of the adventure starts with a fight against some Barbau demons, this would most likely kill the party, who will have too short a time to recover after fighting Nabthatoron...
How did you guys handle this?
Monsters can attack adjacent squares with their natural weapons. Only reach weapons will not allow a large-sized or greater creature to not attack in their normal natural reach.
As for the bigger issue, his space can be compensated by simply making the room larger. Even adding 10 extra feet to the room will allow for them to move, although they will garner an attack of opportunity from Nabthatoron if they move more than a 5-foot move.
